Sanigul is a housewife and farmer from Konasheher County. According to Sanigul’s cousin, now in the USA, Sanigul was taken away in early 2016 along with her husband. Her cousin told Amnesty International that it is unclear whether they are now in an internment camp or a prison. Her mother tearfully told Sanigul’s cousin in a call that her grandchildren were desperately looking for their mother. No sentence or charges have been revealed by the authorities.
